Geno
Monday - Friday: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Hailing originally from Chi-Town, Geno Jones better known as “Geno on your Radio” is holding down the afternoon drive on Star 99.7 FM everyday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m which has been the Number #1 afternoon show in Charleston for the last two arbitron ratings books. Geno’s audio book,DVD and soon to be published book “Game Recognize Game: The Real, The Raw, and Why Men Do What They Do in Relationships,” released by STP Records, is a straight-forward, tell-all, “self-help” tool that offers insight and rules for women to follow in dealing in relationships with men. Featuring a diversity of women in dialogue with the radio star, he urges them to acknowledge their own actions to better identify with their male counterparts.
Raised by his grandparents and a single mother, Geno is the only son of three children. He is also the father of two beautiful girls, which inspired the birth of Game Recognize Game. “My mother and grandmother taught me compassion and how to treat women, and I want my daughters to know how they should be treated,” says Geno. He adds, “Even in my most hardcore, pimp-or-die days, I could only go so far because I would always hear the voices of the women who influenced my life.”
With plans to take his show on the road in live seminar forum, Geno will no doubt soon be considered an expert on male-female relationships, or perhaps a “love doctor.” In fact, many women who have heard Game Recognize Game admit that if the info had been available to them sooner in their lives, many unnecessary wounds would have been prevented. The live Game Recognize Game seminar has been attended by men and women in Charleston and at the Expo for Today’s Black Woman in Chicago in March 2006 and the Black Expo in Los Angeles in Setember of 2006. Geno has been featured on World Talk Radio in Los Angeles, Memphis Live Radio, The Tammy Show in Charleston, and The Roland Martin Show in Chicago. Pretty soon, women all across the country will have the skills needed to survive in “the game,” and men can feel more comfortable that the women in their lives know what they want.
A triple threat, Geno is an actor and comedian as well recently.opening for the legendary B.B. King,Steve Harvey and Katt Williams among others since in Charleston, and starred in the fature film, “Hanging with the Big Boys.” Charismatic, compelling and funny with a rare ability to connect with his listeners, Geno prides himself in maintaining a #1 show in Memphis for six years prior to relocating to Charleston in 2005.
